Bengal Governor says no to power, CPI-M sees red
As mercury rises across India, the power situation is getting worse. On Wednesday, West Bengal Governor Gopalkrishna Gandhi took an unprecedented step when he decided to have voluntary power cuts at Raj Bhavan to show solidarity with Kolkata residents reeling under power cuts. However, CPI-M state secretary Biman Bose took a strong exception to Gandhi’s action and even questioned the necessity of the post of governor.
